Brian Matthew Merz

Brian was an Army Veteran and served a one year tour in Iraq. Brian had a passion for music and enjoyed playing the drums. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors.

Brian is survived by his parents, Michael and Wendy Merz, his sister Kaitlyn Merz, grandparents, Rick and Janie Walters, Toby Hemry, Mary Merz and Jim and Joyce Merz, great grandmother Dorothy Bokor and by many aunts, uncles and several cousins. Brian was also survived by all of his 3rd Infantry Division Army brothers of Able Company 2-69. Brian is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Corrine Hemry.

Visitation Tuesday April 12, 2016 from 2:00 until 8:00 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile Rd. in Livonia. Funeral services will be Wednesday April 13, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Brian's final resting place will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI with full military honors at a later date.
