Born in Santo Padre, Italy, later immigrating to the US in 1967. Late son of Sylvia Greco and Domenico Scappaticci. Dear brother of Natelina Scappaticci, Filomena Fleming and late Saverio Scappaticci, Cesaro Scappaticci, and Domenica Scappaticci. Beloved husband of Angelina Scappaticci for fifty-five wonderful years. Loving father of Silvio Scappaticci, Laura Scappaticci-Martell (Tony) and Roberto Scappaticci (Wendy). Admirable Nonno to Giovanna, Silvio, Isabella, Julia, Anthony, and Domenico.
After leaving his hometown in Italy, his adventures took him to France, England, Canada, and leading him to finally settle in the United States. He leaves behind many family members that will always cherish their memories of him. Antonio created a cement company and other successful businesses. He taught his children the value of hard work and respect.
He loved his fellow countrymen and maintained his Italian tradition of making homemade wine, sausages, and salami. Antonio loved taking his family up north to their lake house for many years, it was their second home. He shared his love for the outdoors and hunting with his family and friends and always enjoyed his pass time of gardening. Antonio was a long time member of the Livonia Italian American Club where he enjoyed bocci, playing cards along with telling jokes and sharing stories with family and friends.
Longing for the homeland and siblings left back in Italy, Angelina and Antonio visited their hometowns a half dozen times, bringing a little bit of Italy back each time! Antoinio always made his family his number one priority and was perfect in all of his ways!
Hero’s never die they live as long as we remember them. And you my father will NEVER be forgotten.
