She was born in Detroit, Michigan to John and Mary Romanchuk. After graduating high school, she met John at age 19 and they were married on September 10,1949. Alice and John were blessed with two children, Patti and Michael. John and Alice enjoyed 51 wonderful years together. Alice worked and retired from Michigan Bell. She was active in St. Aidan's Church Women's Guild, Parish Council, Funeral Luncheons and Party Coordinator for Bishop Alex Brunett. In addition, she cared for her mother, father, and disabled sister for 18 years. Alice was fortunate to meet Tom Logan and enjoyed his love, affection and companionship for over 18 years.
Alice loved dancing, enjoying life, shopping, getting dressed up and staying stylish with her hair and nails always impeccable, travelling, and listening to music. She loved her home and her pearl white Cadillac Seville. Alice will always be remembered for her smile and positive attitude.
Alice is survived by her two children: Patti (Jerry) Polzin and Michael (Linda) Liess; four grandchildren: Michael Christopher (Devin Jamieson) Polzin, Michael John II (Cheyenne Lambert) Liess, Patrick Anthony Liess and Mary Grace Liess; three great grandchildren: Emillee Gracelyn, Aubrey Alice and Raegan Eleanor; her loving companion Tom Logan; and many nieces and nephews and loving family and friends.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary; her husband John; sisters Polly (Ernie) Trepton and Sophie Romanchuk; brothers Peter (Sonia) Romanchuk and Michael (Gertrude) Romanchuk.
Alice's grandchildren and great grandchildren made her incredibly proud watching her grandchildren grow up to be responsible, accomplished young people.
Alice truly had a life well-lived full of love, kindness, and compassion for all and she has left a lasting impression on many hearts. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
