Mr. Motts was my 5th grade teacher at Squiertown School in Livingston. I had Mr. Motts on his VERY FIRST DAY of teaching! He was my hero. I wish his family well. I still think about him and am so sad to hear about his passing and so glad that he had such a full life. Rick Saphire.

my prayers are with the motz family.  mr motz was my principal at hillside school and I have fond memories from the 2 years I was there. I am glad I got to know him later in life while going to church at LPC.  he was always a kind man who was great to be around.  I will always remember you and your wife joan .  I still have the lace runner  that I got from your wife and will always be reminded of you both.  I am happy you are now in gods hand and are the angel you were meant to be!

Mr. Motz was my principal at Burnet Hill elementary school in the late 70s to early 80s.  I didn't know him well because I was just a kid, but one conversation we had stuck with me because it revealed how much he cared about the people around him.  My 3rd grade teacher, Mr. Falcetta, had just suffered a heart attack.  Mr. Motz lamented to me about the fragility of life -- that a teacher who never missed a day of school due to sickness was suddenly in critical condition.  I'll never forget that, because it revealed how much he cared about all those around him...a coworker wasn't just a coworker, he was a friend.   Mr. Motz was a good man.

I have great memories  of him at Squiertown School in Livingston; his kindness, sense of humor, & all the fun and cherished times he created there. I too remember his amazing son Nicky who was a gem and left us way too early. 
May the wonderful life and memories remain in everyone’s hearts who knew him so well.

I’m so sorry sorry to hear about your loss. Walter was a wonderful person and served Livingston well. We have fine memories of our trips to Food Bank. He was so faithful to whatever he did. Sadly, both Jill and Gus both passed away three years ago from Covid. They will greet Walter in our heavenly home.  Blessings and prayers to you and your family 🙏 

Walter Motz was my 6th grade teacher at Squiertown School many years ago . He had a great influence on my life and was a great teacher who very much cared for his students.  

A memorable story was when he took our class overnight to Camp Minisink. It was such a great and fun experience.  

He will always be remembered with love.

Walter was the first one I looked for knowing he would be smiling even if we didn’t know all the notes…smiling is a attribute Walt shared freely. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I had the pleasure of working with  Walter. He was an honest and very caring person to work for. Walter will be remembered fondly by me.
