It is with such a heavy heart to hear the passing of Steve .  A man of true integrity,  compassion, and a heart that had no boundaries.  My prayers are with everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. RIP 🙏....Until we all meet again ❤️.

I have not heard from Steve in a long time. Did not know he passed away. I always send a message to Steve around the holidays. I sent one on Thanksgiving Day. I got a automatic reply November 25, 2023 that he passed. I was shocked. I told his friend Joe Ferrone. Sorry that he passed. Steve is a great and wonderful person. A great friend and lawyer. He knows my mother Flo. Prayers to the family. He will be missed.

To the family of Steve; I have gotten word of his demise.  My condolences to his children and family.  He was a great person and to have known him was such a pleasure.  He had a heart of gold and loved and cared about others.  He always put his best foot forward to bring about the best results on any case or cases he handled.  He was a human attorney unlike some others.  He treated people the way he wanted to be treated.  A case was not just about money but about the best for his clients.  Some attorneys just want what is best for themselves.  He will be greatly missed.  It will be hard to find others to fill his shoes.  Love you Steve, RIP sir.

Although I hardly knew Steve other than being a St. Joe's alumni from the class of 1970..I have the regret of not knowing him very well from what I have read on here.   Joe Cherepon spoke very highly of him so I can only imagine Steve must of been a stand up guy!

I’m truly saddened of the passing of Mr Steve Berardi he was a great lawyer and friend. He went above and beyond for his clients including me. I’m so hurt and in disbelief he was recently working on a case of mines and I was wondering why I haven’t heard from him. My heart goes out to his family during this difficult time sending my love and prayers to you all. What a great man he was I will forever keep him close in my heart. There will never be another loving caring lawyer like mr berardi he took passion into everything he did. 🙏🏽🙏🏽😭

Dear Berardi Family,  I am so deeply sorry and heartbroken to hear about Steve's passing.  I've been a client of his since 2004 and I cannot say enough about how special of a human being he is.  Over the years we became friends, I prayed for Lauren over the years of her illness, and when he told me earlier this year about his illness I fervently began praying for him.  I was hopeful that he would beat it. He said he had plans to finally slow down with work, visit his son in Florida and family in Italy.    He was always a man of his word and perpetually optimistic.  He deeply loved his family, cared for others in such a special way and loved life.  He will be forever missed. 
My only solace in this news is that he is now with Lauren again, in Heaven.

My condolences to the family.  I met Steve in 1982 a young legal secretary eager to learn. Steve took me under his wing and taught me so much about his world if workers compensation law. A young mom raising a son all alone he tutored and taught my son facets of life and opened his eyes to the world of comic books. I will never forget his big heart for all. His smile and deep laugh . He lived life and he lived it  on his own terms. He loved family and helped all his family. His greatest joy was meeting and marrying Lauren. That Union was blessed with two children which were permanent beams of love in Steve’s eye. So long as you will truly be missed

With tears and a broken heart, I am so saddened by Steve’s passing. He was a kind, loving, humble and gentle man with a zest for life and love of his family and friends. We knew Steve first and foremost as a friend, and he also did some legal work for us. From reading the other lovely tributes on this page, it does not surprise us that the universal sentiment is that Steve was a kind and genuine person, both personally and professionally. It was always such a pleasure to be in Steve's company, and we will remember the times we spent with him - most often, grabbing a weekday lunch with mutual friends. Steve was a great conversationalist, always with an honest, thoughtful, and compassionate take on pretty much any topic of discussion. As an attorney, we knew him to be an experienced, trusted, and effective advocate for his clients. We are deeply saddened by his passing and will miss him. It is with great sadness that I hear the news of Steve's passing. I had the privilege of working with Steve in Newark, NJ from 1999 to 2009. I learned many things as a young lawyer while working for Steve. He was a very kind and decent person and always spoke very affectionately about his family (when not talking about playing his guitar or wanting to travel back to Italy). I actually was able to communicate with Steve as recently as last week.

Steve was my mentor, and my friend for nearly 40 years. He was a good-hearted, generous, passionate and caring man. He loved his family, and he loved his clients.  He was a modest and humble man, recalling his roots and always able to relate to injured workers, colleagues and judges on the most fundamental level. He was so proud of his children, it came out in every conversation we had over the last few years.
I learned a great deal from Steve Berardi as a lawyer, but the core lesson was always to see people as individuals who needed our help, not as statistics or abstract problems to be solved. I am grateful for that lesson.

I recently became his client he was an exceptional atty. His last text message to me was Oct 5th I knew something was wrong. He didnt return my calls over the last few weeks. This was not like him Steven always returned calls asap. Mr. Berardi was really a great professional atty.  May you Rest In Eternal Peace Mr. Berardi or as you told me pls just call me Steven.
