Peter John Dorn, 69, passed away peacefully at home after a 19 year battle with Parkinson’s disease. A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Peter lived in Denville for the past 4 years, and before that he lived in Caldwell over 20 years and Verona previous to that. An owner of the Copacabana Nightclub in New York for over 40 years, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Paul Smith College in Saranac Lake, NY. He was also on the Board of Directors and was named man of the year for the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
Devoted son of Michael and Claire Dorn, cherished brother of Vicky Dorn-Fontana and her husband Robert, uncle of Sarah and Vanessa and great uncle of Hugo Max. He was a loyal friend who was fun to be around and will be missed by many.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Peter’s memory to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
