Michael D. Russo, Jr.

Michael D. Russo, Jr., 91, of Livingston, passed away peacefully at his home, with his loving family by his side, on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Born in Newark, Michael was a long time resident of Livingston. He was a proud member of the Livingston Old Guard, an avid pool player and card player, and a lifelong New York Yankees’ Fan, especially Joe DiMaggio. Michael worked in the beer industry for his entire life in one capacity or another. He was employed by Anheuser-Busch, Newark, for over 50 years, before his retirement.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Concetta Russo, as well as his beloved wife, Lucy. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Concetta (Connie) Romano (Dave), Vincent M. Russo, Michael D. Russo III (Dana), and Lawrence C. Russo. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Danielle Brueckner (Greg), Michael Russo IV, Katelyn Russo, Shane Romano, Samuel Russo, Victoria Russo, and Samantha Russo, as well as his adoring great-grandchildren Romeo and Enzo.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, from 4-8 PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston. Funeral mass will be offered on Wednesday, January 3 at 10 AM at St. Raphael’s Church, Livingston, with entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Michael’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
