Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Lenny lived in Union, NJ for 15 years and then Livingston, NJ for 35 years before moving to Jackson, NJ 12 years ago. Lenny attended the Manhattan School of Music. He ran Harry Gross and Sons Beauty Supply with his father-in-law and then opened Things of Beauty which had several locations. He was also owner and operator of Leness Beauty Supply in Livingston, NJ. He belonged to the Weequahic Sports Club and the Maplewood Country Club, and he donated his time playing the piano at a nursing home.
Lenny was the beloved husband of the late Essie for 54 years, loving father of Hildy and Michael, Nancy and Eric, and Caryn and Frank, cherished grandfather of Marisa and Alex, Evan, Zach and Josh, Jessica, Jake, Joey, and Jayne, devoted great grandfather of Dylan, brother of Bobbi and Rich, uncle of many nieces and nephews, Partner of Natalie Bindler.
