The cherished daughter of Peg and Charles Murphy, Kathleen grew up in Union, NJ. She graduated from Union Catholic High School and Seton Hall University.
Kathleen had a long career of helping others in the medical field, law field, and Catholic education. She worked at Seton Hall University, the National Council of Catholic Bishops, and various other places.
A lifelong lover of literature, a voracious reader with a brilliant mind, Kathleen touched the lives of people wherever she went. Kathleen always made a point of engaging everyone she came across, taking a genuine interest in their lives, and leaving people feeling better about themselves afterward. Kathleen was a wonderfully kind-hearted person. She saw--and insisted on seeing--the good in others.
Surviving in addition to her husband Thomas E. Carr; are her daughter Katharine Carr-Figueiredo and her husband Carlos Figueiredo; her son Patrick Carr and his wife Mary; two grandchildren, Lilith Carr and Thomas Carr; sisters Patricia Murphy, and her husband Vincent Lobosco; Margaret Laudati, and her husband Frank Laudati; and nephew Keith Laudati and nieces Corinne Laudati and Caitlin Lobosco; and great nephew Arlo Laudati. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Danny and his wife Karen Carr; as well as her sister-in-law Debi Carr and her husband Tom Carlson; and nephews Michael Carr and Skylar Carr; and her nieces Kayla Carr and the late Alina Carlson.
Kathleen loved being with her family and friends her unconditional love to all was always felt.
A Celebration of Life will be held in May 19th at Nero’s Grille Restaurant in Livingston, NJ. A time willl be announced in the near future.
