Joseph W. Calabrese, 88, of Livingston, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 in Livingston, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ, Joseph resided in Livingston for the past 55 years. He was a proud veteran of the U.S Army, having served during the Korean War. He worked for many years as a Purchasing Director for various companies, and in different capacities. He also owned his own business, a liquor store, for many years. Joseph was an avid NY Yankees and Giants fan, and also enjoyed watching old movies from the 30’s and 40’s. He also adored gardening and tending to his flowers and pool, but his greatest joy was spending time with his beloved family.
Joseph was preceded in death by his dear son, Christopher, and his sister Florence Petruzelli. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Annette, his loving daughter Lisa Dodgen (Charles), his grandchildren, Danielle (Tyler Silvey) and Chrisptopher, as well as many nieces, nephews, and many extended family members.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, from 5-8pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Philomena’s Church, Livingston, on Tuesday, September 29 at 10am, with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
