Sidney George Conroy, 99, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Winchester Gardens, Maplewood, NJ. Throughout his life, his enthusiasm, warmth, and humor brought joy to his family and many friends. He shared his love with us in countless ways. We love him deeply and forever.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he served in the U.S. Marines during World War II, stationed in the Pacific Theater. After the war, he built his own business as a manufacturer’s sales representative and raised a family in Oceanside, NY. He enjoyed boating, tennis, golf, politics, and all manner of card games. He retired happily in Palm Beach Gardens FL, Jupiter FL, and Maplewood NJ. He is predeceased by his wife Elaine Conroy and son David Conroy.
Surviving are his sister Phyllis Resnick; two daughters Lisa Conroy Sales and her husband Bruce and Susan Conroy Ryba and her husband Carl; grandchildren Robert and his wife Kate, Thomas, Kevin, and Amy; great grandson Will.
