A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, May 6, at 10:30 am in Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield, followed by the entombment in Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will be held at the LaMonica Memorial Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
Born in Scranton, PA in 1937, Frank served in the United States Air Force as a staff Sargent from 1954-1958.
Frank retired as a Sergeant after many years with the Bloomfield Police Dept. He was also the president of the Bloomfield fire and police federal credit union for over 30 years and on January 22, 2011 he was honored for his 40 years of service to the Township of Bloomfield.
Frank also assisted with funerals for more than 40 years with the LaMonica Memorial Home in Bloomfield and Livingston.
He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Rose (Genovese) Mercuri and is survived by his wife of 53 years Veronica (nee Boylan), children Frank Mercuri and his wife Karen, Peter Mercuri and his wife Maureen, and Lisa Catanzarite and her husband Russell, loving grandchildren Marisa, Jenna, Frankie, Andrew, Bridget and Grace, sisters Pauline Wahlers and her husband George, and Mary Rose Almeida and her husband Albano and 11 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions to Haven Hospice JFK Medical Center would be greatly appreciated.
