Anita Lois Fishman died peacefully on Tuesday October 8th at the age of 89. Anita, an only child, grew up in Lawrence, NY. She attended Cornell University where she majored in political science and was a member of AEPi sorority. She married Joe Fishman in 1957 and moved to West Orange, NJ. She sold stationary for many years and then worked at an art gallery which she loved. She enjoyed tennis, hiking, travel, bridge, reading and loved both the fine and performing arts especially in the company of her many friends. Anita spent about 10 years living both in NYC and Scottsdale, before moving permanently to Arizona. She leaves behind her sister-in-law Ruth, her daughters and sons-in-law Caren and Steve and Lisa and Josh, 5 grandchildren, Shelly, David, Meme, Olivia and Vanessa and 5 great-grandchildren Ayla, Isaac, Silas, Sevi and Jack. She lived a long full life doing all the things she loved and surrounded by those she loved.

A graveside service for Anita will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 1:15 PM at B'Nai Jeshurun Cemetery, 1350 Lower Road, Elizabeth, NJ 07208.
