Steven Patrick Blackwell

Steven Patrick Blackwell passed from this life on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Steven (Steve) was born November 25, 1957 in Oklahoma City, OK to Billy James Sr. and Peggye Ann (Dover) Blackwell. He called the North Little Rock area home for 40 years.

As a young man, he enjoyed track, wrestling, and football. His athletic pursuits would later lead him to the Little Rock Rugby Club, of which he was a proud, long time member.

Steve came to Little Rock to manage the area's first Sonic franchises, and later worked in many businesses including paper, auto salvage, and as a part owner in a used car dealership.

His favorite hobbies were rugby, crappie fishing, shooting pool, tinkering with cars, and being a grandpa to his two grandsons.

He is preceded in death by his parents Billy James Sr. and Peggye Ann (Dover) Blackwell, and his brother Billy James Blackwell Jr.

He is survived by his sons Brandon Morris and wife Tiffany of Rogers, AR, Cody Blackwell of Little Rock, AR; brothers Scott Blackwell and wife Pam of Tulsa, OK, Barry Blackwell and wife JoAnn of Cincinnati, OH; sisters Shelley Gilbert and husband Greg of Shawnee, OK, Shawna Moore and husband Monte of Winchester, KS; grandchildren Ryder Morris and Ranger Morris of Rogers, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.
