2021. Paula was born in Little Rock to JD and Dorothy Coney on October 9, 1953.
Paula never met a stranger. She was a light of joy and inspiration to all who knew her. She always showedlove to others through actions and could always be counted on when you were in need, rather
if it was through her 35 years of being a Register Nurse in Arkansas or SCA ( Society for
Creative Anachronism) where she became Countess and member of the Order of the Pelicans.
Paula loved the life on the farm caring for the cows (especially excited over the baby calves),
horses, and her two dogs. She was a crafty individual. She had a great passion for knitting,
bringing back the old ways of the spinning wheel or weaving, glass blowing handcrafted
beads, gardening, and watching and listening to the birds. She always enjoyed the great
outdoors especially when it came to deer hunting or going to Calico Rock to trout fish with her
husband.
She was preceded in death by her Mother Dorothy B. Coney and Father JD Coney and many
Aunts and Uncles.
She is survived by her husband David W. Bowers of 31 years ( Little Rock, Arkansas), her sister
Pamela D Coney (Benton, Arkansas), her brother Bryan H. Coney (Bald Knob, Arkansas) four
children Shane and Cindy Jacobsen (Pittsburg, Texas), Shawn and Cindy Jacobsen (Oviedo,
Florida), Sharon and William Hyche (Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota) and Shannon and Ben
Condie (Sandy, Utah) and 15 grandchildren.
At this time the family has decided to have a celebration of life ceremony in the summer of 2021
