proprietors of Fuller Feed and Supply on Asher Ave.
Larry graduated from T. J. Raney, class of 1959. Following graduation, he served 6 years in the
Arkansas Air National Guard in the 123rd tactical recon. He married his wife, Jacque M. Ridens
on March 30, 1962, and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past spring. He
served the City of Little Rock for 32 years as one of Little Rock’s bravest. As a fire fighter, he
was on the HAZMAT Unit and Bomb Squad. He worked in the training department and held
many other positions over the years. Also served the City of Damascus on their fire department for several years.
Larry became a Mason at Albert Pike Lodge 714 in 1967. While at Doric Lodge 471 he was
recognized as a past Worshipful Master having served 50 years. He then joined Washington 1
Lodge in Fayetteville, AR where he was an active member as a Lecturer and Tyler.
Many also know Larry for the years of service at Geyer Springs Ball Park where he coached
baseball for decades and held various titles and duties. He was loved by those who were
fortunate enough to be coached by him. Being active in his sons’s lives, he coached many
football, basketball, and baseball teams.
Larry was an artist, and an avid reader of the Word of God and Louis L’Amour books. He had a
ferocious appetite and always had a cup of coffee in his hands when possible. Larry always was
“fantastically great” when one would inquire! He had a pleasant demeanor and liked to joke.
He always said, “To work for the Little Rock Fire Department was not a job but a profession.”
He was a hard-worker and always made people feel good about themselves.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Catherine Ulmer Harrell and his grandson
Aaron Fuller. Surviving in addition to his wife, Jacque Fuller of Bella Vista, are his sons, Greg
