It is with deep sadness that we are announcing the passing of James “Jim” Crawford McGrew of Little Rock. Jim passed away in the early morning hours on Sunday, October 20, 2024. He was born on June 5, 1965, in Meridian, Mississippi to Charles Louis McGrew, Sr. and Marilyn Webb McGrew. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Debbie. He is survived by his brother Charlie McGrew (Cia), sister Karen McGrew (Lethia), Cousin Sharon Braselton Masters (Steve); two nephews, Justin McGrew and Taylor McGrew (Brittany), as well as four great niece’s, one great nephew and a multitude of beloved cousins.
A 1984 graduate of Hall High School, Jim was a star football player and a student of German. He attended Arkansas Tech University and University of Arkansas of Little Rock with a major in history. As a UPS Supervisor for 30 years, Jim truly enjoyed his work and the people he met through it.
Jim was an avid sports fan especially of the Razorbacks, along with St. Louis Cardinals baseball and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved and cared for his dogs immensely and was passionate about his wild birds that he doted over, diligently being sure they were fed and watered. He will be remembered for his kind heart, quick wit, hearty laugh and, of course, his love for animals.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 8, 2024, at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 W 12th Street, Little Rock, AR, 72204 at 2:00pm with his Celebration of Life immediately following with Pastor and friend, Elliot Blocker Officiating.
