Cheryl Ann Clark Roach, age 74, went to be home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the afternoon of April 26, 2020. She died peacefully in her sleep after suffering many years from the debilitating effects of COPD. Cheryl was born September 12, 1945 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Lydia Pauline (Little Billie Bradshaw) and Russell H. Clark. From a young age, Cheryl loved the Lord, her family and dance. While attending Arkansas State Teacher's College (now UCA), she met the love of her life, Ronnie Roach, and they were married shortly thereafter. Blessed with three children, Cheryl's day-to -day life revolved around her kids. Sports, piano lessons and school projects dominated her schedule. Most importantly, she was able to impart upon her children a love and faith in God that resonated throughout their lives. Sunday worship at Tyler Street Baptist Church was at the heart of every week. Though she battled health issues for her entire adult life, Cheryl was fond of saying, "it is well with my soul." She never failed to relate to people the "blessed assurance" of her salvation through Christ Jesus. The thing she hated most about COPD was that it took from her the ability to work in her yard and to attend her grand kids special events. Cheryl loved to give presents. Nothing expressed her love quite like the gifts she could bestow on other people to make them smile. Holidays, especially Christmas, were important times of joy for Cheryl, as family always mattered most. She loved snow and thunderstorms. And, she liked pizza. With no cheese.
Cheryl prematurely lost her beloved husband of 39 years, Ron Roach, Sr. She was also predeceased by her parents, Russell and Billie Clark. She is survived by her children Ron Roach, Jr., Debbie (Danny) McCuin, and Jason (Beth) Roach and five beloved grandchildren, Jordan Daniel and Keeton Clark McCuin and Riley Grace, Maggie Faith and Annie Love Roach, along with two brothers Ronnie (Francine) and Rusty Clark.
Special thanks is given to her daughter Debbie, brother Ronnie Clark and close friend Dee Milton, for the love they poured out while caring for Cheryl's daily needs as she struggled with the ravages of her illness. It was no easy task. There will be special jewels in all of your crowns.
While a host of family will miss her here on Earth, the stars above shine brighter because of Cheryl's presence in Heaven. Private family services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. To sign the online guestbook, click "Add A Memory" at:www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com
