After graduating high school, Bill enlisted in the USMC where he served for 5 years. He later joined the USAF and retired after 15 years of dedicated service. Following his retirement from the Armed Services, Bill worked with the United States Supreme Court on the Police Force for 19 years before his final retirement.
A loving and devoted husband of Barbara “Bobbie” Brannon, the two celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary in November. Bill and Bobbie made the North Myrtle Beach area their home in 1996, moving from Clinton, MD and were active members of First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach.
In addition to his wife, Bobbie, is survived by his daughter, Nancy Barbour and her children, Evan and Sabrina Barbour. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Brannon as well as brothers and sisters in law, Gardner Brannon (Mary Ella) and Randall Brannon (Suzanne).
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach Building Fund.
