Thomas E. Starnick, 90, passed away at home on Thursday, November 23, 2023 with his loving wife by his side. Born in Jersey City, NJ, on November10, 1933, he was a son of the late Bernard and Blanche Starnick.
A proud veteran, Thomas served in the US Army immediately following the Korean Conflict. Thomas was a true patriot and just recently, he was awarded the Quilt of Valor. He was a member and two time Past President of the Little River Lions Club where he was inducted into the South Carolina Lions Club Hall of Fame. Thomas enjoyed golfing and was also a member of the Polish Falcons of America.
Thomas was the husband of 54 years to Frances Tarnow Starnick until her passing in 2008. He was blessed with finding love once again and married Elizabeth Tucker on February 19, 2011. A longtime member of Little River United Methodist Church, Thomas had a great love of God and his fellow man.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Beth are his children, Thomas Starnick (Zoe Ann), Richard Starnick (Terri), Daniel Starnick (Kathy); grandchildren, Dawn Marie Starnick, William Starnick; great-grandchildren, Jillian Starnick, Will Starnick, Katie Starnick, Ruby Larsen; and sister, Dorothy Cambrio. Also surviving Thomas are his step-son, Scott Tucker (Mary Ann); step-grandchildren, Wyatt Tucker, Amber Tucker; step-great-grandchildren, Steven Schnur, Malachi Schnur; many special nieces and nephews. Thomas was preceded in death by his brother, George Starnick and sister, Agnes Grogan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Lions Club of Little River, PO Box 972, Little River, SC 29566.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Little River United Methodist Church, 1629 Hwy 17, Little River, SC 29566.
