Shelby Jean Phillips, age 80, of Little River, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Born on May 2, 1941 in Nelson County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Josephine Stevens White.
Shelby was a devout Christian of the Baptist denomination. She was a woman who loved her family and friends. Shelby enjoyed cooking, working in her garden, planting flowers, mowing the lawn, and being outdoors. She loved tending to her pet ducks, and spending time with her two little dogs, Charlie and Gizmo. Shelby retired from ESCOD Industries, in North Myrtle Beach, where she worked for many years.
Survivors include her children, Raven D. Phillips Jr., Audrey K. Phillips-Farinelli, Clark and Deborah Phillips; grandchildren, Stacy Phillips and Jason Berry, Bradley and Audrey Phillips, Brian Phillips, all of Little River, South Carolina; great-grandchildren, Aisley Phillips, Emily Berry, Kaleigh Berry, Jaxon Berry, all of Little River, South Carolina; sister, Patricia Morris of Shipman, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, along with her husband, Raven Delmore Phillips Sr.; brother, “Sonny” White; granddaughter, Raven Nichole Phillips; daughter-in-law, Cindy Phillips.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Pleasant Plain Baptist Church Cemetery.
