At an early age Sadie joined and attended Freement Missionary Baptist Church until she could no longer stay alone without some assistance. After moving in with her daughters, she attended Kingdom Hall with her daughters until she could physically no longer attend. She then listened to the Jehovah’s Witnesses
meetings through the Zoom programs.
Her motto was: If you are talking about the Bible she was eager to say, “Come on in and let’s talk about people, and the Bible is full of people to talk about, especially Jesus.”
Sadie helped organize the preschool program for the Longs Community, which later grew into WAC EOC Headstart. Next was the Senior Citizen program and the Summer Lunch program for the children. Her love for God, her love of family, and love for her community was her driving force in life.
Her last spoken words were, “Let The Kingdom Come and God’s Will Be Done.” She then drew her last breath.
A celebration of life for Sadie will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Lee Funeral Home, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, South Carolina 29566.
