Richard Melvin

He was born in Fayetteville, NC on January 22, 1949 to Henry and Dahlia Melvin. He was a graduate of Seventy-First High School.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Michael Melvin. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Glenda McCaskill Melvin of Little River, his daughter Allyson Nealis, son-in-law John Nealis, and the love of his life - his granddaughter Elizabeth Nealis, all of Cary, NC.

Rick was the Director of Engineering at Highsmith Rainey Memorial Hospital in Fayetteville for many years, and was Director of Plant Services at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach until his retirement.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association or the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
