Martha Jane Green

Martha Jane Green, age 89, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 21, 2024. Born on September 22, 1935, in Kitzmiller, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Oral Sharpless.

She is survived by her sons, Randall D. Green of Deer Park, Maryland, Douglas W. Green (Deborah) of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Darrin W. Green (Missy) of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrius E. Green; siblings, Harold Sharpless, William Sharpless, Clark Sharpless, Peggy Gower.

A graduate of Southern High School class of 1954, Martha spent most of her life in Maryland. Her and her husband Darrius began coming to Myrtle Beach as snowbirds. They later decided to relocate fulltime and enjoy life on the Carolina Coast.

Funeral services will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date by the Green family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sunrise Hospice in Myrtle Beach.
