Dawn (Smith) Lee passed away peacefully at MUSC in Charleston on July 18th after a long struggle with health issues. She crossed over at the age of 59, three days shy of her 60th birthday, as her loving friend Dan Whelan held her sweet hand, while grieving his loss, he is joyful she is no longer in pain.
Dawn had been a North Myrtle Beach resident for 40 plus years where she worked in many avenues of real estate up and down the Grand Strand. She was a devoted daughter to her mother Paula and her stepfather Herbert.
She unselfishly gave to others, even before her own needs. She was a loving sister, daughter, friend, co-worker, tirelessly making sure everyone was happy and had what they needed.
She was preceded in death by her father Vernon Windle Smith, stepfather Herbert White, sister Paula Kelly Vinsett and brother Chris Smith. She is survived by her mother Paula White, sister Hope Norbech (Jim), stepsister Vanna White, stepbrothers Chip White and Joe White along with nieces Tea Norbech, Brittany Alloway, Kyra Ethridge, Elizabeth Vinesett, Gigi Santo Pietro and nephews Richard Cook, Michael Cook, Kit Smith, Nikko Santo Pietro and Crawford White.
She was an angel and will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to your favorite charity.
