Harold Edward Taylor

Harold Edward Taylor, 81, died January 27, 2020 at MUSC, Florence, SC.

Born on October 6, 1938 in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Thomas Warren and Sally Ruth Rodgers Taylor.

Mr. Taylor served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was a life member of the Shriner and Masonic Lodge and Pacific Lodge, Columbia, SC. He was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 1976 to 1980.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Patricia Harrelson Taylor; three sons, Harold E. Taylor, Jr., Jonathan L. Taylor, Sheldon T. Taylor; daughter, Angela Carol Taylor Harrison (Cal); stepson, Kenneth W. Jenkins (Tiffany); sister, Helen E. Doebler; five grandchildren, Taylor and Rosalee Harrison, Harriet E. and Harold E. Taylor III, and Marvin Nicholas Jenkins. He is predeceased by three brothers, Fred W., Joe Earl and Billy Eugene Taylor; and sister, Dorothy T. Dimmery.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, January 30 at Mullins Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
