Frank Bullard of Little River, SC, 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 13, 2019 at Embrace Hospice House.
Born January 8, 1955 in Champaign, IL, he was the son of the late Franklin Elkins and Bessie Marie Shook Bullard, Sr.
Frank grew up in Lumberton, NC and lived there until he joined the Navy in 1975. He met his wife, Pat, in boot camp and they later married. While in the Navy, he served as a submariner and as a P-3 Air Crewman. After serving for 20+ years he retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 2001. He also worked for the Electric Department for the City of Lumberton, NC. In 2006 he opened Little River Alternators which he owned and operated for the past 13 years with the help of his nephew Clayton Johnson.
Frank loved traveling, fishing, boating, scuba diving, watching Clemson football games, and spending time with family and friends. Throughout his life he served the communities where he resided in various volunteer positions and giving back however he could.
Frank was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and sister Needra Ann Bullard. He is survived by his wife Patricia Ann (nee Bishop); sons Carl Bullard (Laurie) of Southampton, PA and Les Bullard of Little River, SC; sisters-in-law, Frances (Phil) Pascoe, Kathy (Mark) Pingsterhaus, Phyllis (Todd) Johnson; and three granddaughters: Samantha, Katelyn, and Claire; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 19 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel, Little River, SC.
