Florence C. Johnston

Florence C. Johnston, age 95, of Little River, South Carolina passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Born on April 15, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bridget Horan. She was a devoted wife to Elwood E. Johnston (deceased), mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Johnston was the mother of the late David Johnston and Richard Johnston. Survivors include her beloved daughters; Theresa Johnston, Sheila (Patrick) McCall, Jeanne (William) Bull and Ellen (Ronald) Ersek.

She also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her two brothers; Edward and Thomas Horan, along with her sisters; Mary Cook, Elizabeth Kerns, Rose Swartley, Jean Sasse and Dorothy Sutherland.

A funeral mass for Florence will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1100 8th Ave N, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
