Elizabeth C. Edwards

Carroll was born on February 28, 1946 to B.F. and Elizabeth Reynolds and grew up in Rockingham, NC. A graduate of Rockingham High School, she was married to her high school sweetheart, David D. “Randy” Edwards for 58 years. Together, Carroll and Randy lived and made careers in Newport News, VA before retiring to Little River, SC in 2007. Mrs. Edwards owned and operated a child daycare center for more than 20 years. All who knew Carroll were touched and comforted by her enormously loving heart and caring nature. Following retirement, she enjoyed beach life along the SC Grand Strand, community service in Little River Lions Club, animal and pet care, and continued communication with family and friends.

Carroll was predeceased by her parents, her aunts and uncles, her brother-in-law Dale Edwards, and her cousin Charles “Chuck” Thompson.

Surviving family members include husband Randy, brother-in-law Dean Edwards and wife Gloria, sister-in-law Anne Edwards of Rockingham, NC; cousins Dr. Robert G. Thompson (Bridgett) of Knoxville, TN, Mary Thompson of Atlanta, GA, Beverly Thompson (Chuck) of Lyons, GA; nieces Jessica Davis (William) of Rockingham, NC, Lisa Morgan (Chad) of Siler City, NC, and nephew Chris Edwards (Brandi) of Rockingham, NC.

Carroll was a faithful member of the Little River United Methodist Church (LRUMC), P.O. Box 160, Little River, SC 29566. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to LRUMC or to the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, 409 Bay Street, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.

A Visitation and Celebration of Carroll’s life will be held at LRUMC, 1629 Hwy 17, Little River on Sunday, January 12, 2025. Visitation is at 3PM, followed by the service at 4PM.
