Dennis Michael McIntyre, age 72, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., passed away peacefully on January 13, 2024. He was born on January 25, 1951, in New Haven, CT, to the late Thomas McIntyre, Sr. and Lucille Heavren McIntyre. Dennis was a kind and gentle soul, always sensitive to the needs of others. He had a good sense of humor and was loved by all who knew him.
Dennis was survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sharon Pond McIntyre; their two sons, Kyle McIntyre and Troy McIntyre; his brothers, Thomas McIntyre Jr. and wife Linda of Naples, FL, Terence McIntyre and wife Jane of Boca Raton, FL; and sister, Eileen McIntyre Sartiano and husband Frank of Naples, FL.
Dennis was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, in West Haven CT and furthered his education at Southern Connecticut University and Webster University where he obtained his MBA. He had a successful career alongside his wife Sharon as the owners and operators of Edible Arrangements in Myrtle Beach.
In his free time, Dennis loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling back to his hometown of Hamden, CT, to reconnect with old friends and spend time with family. Dennis had a passion for baseball and, along with his childhood friend Art, coached a New Haven inner-city youth baseball team.
A Visitation Celebration will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, January, 16th at Lee Funeral Home in Little River, SC.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Dennis McIntyre.
