Charlotte Ann Stoll of Longs, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2024. Charlotte was born the youngest of eight children to parents Mark A. Knight and Mary Ellen Cox, on June 24, 1945, in Trenton, Michigan.
Charlotte married the love of her life, Ronald Stoll on November 6, 1965. Over the years they made Michigan, North Carolina, and South Carolina their home. Together they raised three daughters, Desiree (Jim) Pilarski, Rebecca (Kevin) Osborn, and Jenna. Charlotte cherished her role as Grammie, to Alexandra, Mitchell, Emma, Sierra, Ethan, Isabella, Hunter, and Ava. She embraced every moment with them, whether telling stories, making cookies, or sharing her love of the moon and holiday traditions.
Charlotte was deeply connected to her many friends, church, and community. Over the years, she was an active member of numerous organizations and charity events, constantly striving to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Her philanthropic efforts extended far and wide with her capstone event “Ride to Remember” a motorcycle charity ride, that raised money for Alzheimer’s Association, and Veterans organizations. She also enjoyed traveling, especially the cross-country motorcycle trips with Ron and their friends. Charlotte loved hosting elaborate Valentine’s Day Parties, nature, and everything hearts.
Charlotte will be remembered for her strength, kindness, giving spirit, and grace. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Charlotte’s memory will be a treasure in the hearts of many, and she will be forever missed.
In addition to her husband, children, and grandchildren, Charlotte is survived by siblings Robert and Christine and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by siblings Kenneth, Hal, Ross, Mark, and Kathleen.
A celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held on April 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at OD Church of the Lost and Found, 316 Main Street, North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with a reception following.
