Charlie Slayton

Charlie Walter Slayton, Jr., age 79, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Born on August 15, 1944 in Lynchburg, Virginia, he was the son of the late Charlie Walter Slayton, Sr. and Mary Elle Rigney Slayton.

On December 23, 1966, in Lynchburg, VA, Charlie married the love of his life, Bonnie Lee Bade Slayton. Together they owned Slayton Computers and Electronics, retiring in 2008, after 25 years. Following retirement, they relocated to Murrells Inlet where he spent his days enjoying the ocean breeze, sunny weather and golf carting with his wife.

In addition to Bonnie, Charlie is survived by a loving sister-in -law Shirley Duff; two children, Sonya Tarlton, Alex Sean Slayton; eight grandchildren, Ana Benton, Robby Diane, Chloe Andrews, John Isaac Slayton, Sam Slayton, Jesse Slayton, Chris Asbury, and Sierra Tarlton. Charlie was also blessed with five great grandchildren, Parker Springer, Ava and Ezra Tarlton, and Lucas and Addy Andrews
