At the age of 33, Candice has been taken from us, only to be welcomed by our Lord Himself to her new home in Heaven above. Waiting there with open arms was her Papaw, Capt. Jimmy Bell, her great grandparents, Mima and Dada, and cousin Morgan Bell. Those left to remember her are her mother, Traci Bell Chapman and father Miguel Diaz; brothers Miguel “Mikey” Diaz and James “Jamie” Diaz; grandmothers, Carolyn Bell and Mirta Torres; her boyfriend Jeff Porter; as well as countless other family members and friends. Most importantly, she leaves behind her precious 8 year old son, Zaiden Lyric Canady, who she taught to swim, fish, hunt insects, and play baseball.
Candice loved her whole family and adored her son. She was a licensed CNA who worked with Alzheimer’s patients. Adding her artistic touch to every piece, Candice enjoyed refurbishing furniture. She enjoyed playing guitar and loved music, including all things Grateful Dead. After becoming a mother, her ability to nurture was evident as she taught young Zaiden about all of the things she shared a love for. Everything Candice touched in life was left with her own unique mark.
A memorial service will begin at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Following the service, the family will welcome friends to join them in sharing memories of their precious Candi Poo at Windjammer Village Clubhouse, 2200 Little River Drive, Little River, SC. 29566.
