Anne M. Norris, 96, of North Myrtle Beach passed away on October 11, 2024. She was born to the late Frederick Miller and Mabel Washington on July 26, 1928, in Remington, Virginia and graduated from high school there.
She married the late Marion Hollenbeck, and they lived in St. Louis and Roanoke, VA. Later she married the late Paul Norris and lived in Independence, Iowa. Upon his death she moved to Tidewater to be by her daughter, Marty.
Anne had two siblings; Charlotte Boleyn and Frederick Miller that preceded her.
She was proud of her home in Tidewater and loved to entertain in it. In her day, she was a gourmet cook. In Anne’s working years, she worked as a buyer for a department store and in the personnel department.
She really enjoyed decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas as many of you saw during the Christmas home tour last year.
Her biggest joy was her family; daughter Marty Fields (Jack), also of Tidewater, son, Rodger Hollenbeck (Sandy) of Lake St. Louis, MO., granddaughters, Megan Sheridan of California, Erin Hollenbeck (Donny) of O'Fallon, MO., step grandchildren, Shannon Robinson (Partrick) of Marietta, GA, Danny Griffioen and Sherri Hawkins of Iowa, and one great granddaughter, Blaire of O’Fallon, MO.
Visitation will be held at Little River United Methodist Church on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 12:30 to 1:00 PM.
Services will be held immediately thereafter at 1:00 PM, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to North Myrtle Beach Humane Society in memory of Paulie, Anne’s beloved dog.
