Alice was a devoted and loving wife to her dedicated husband of 50 years, Ripton “Tanny” Alford. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary on June 16 of this year. Having lived most of their married life in Somerset, New Jersey, Alice and Tanny relocated to Little River, South Carolina in 2008. Alice was the mother of two beautiful daughters, Holly and Michelle, and the grandmother of three wonderful grandchildren, Kobe, Joshua and Nyah. She treasured her Scottish roots enjoying the traditional sounds of the bagpipes. Although Alice was an avid reader, her greatest love was spending time with her family.
Alice was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Michelle S. Alford. In addition to her husband Tanny, she is survived by her devoted daughter Holly Catarino, son-in-law, Manuel “Manny” Catarino, and her treasured grandchildren, Kobe Catarino, Nyah Catarino, and Joshua Chance.
Condolences can be sent to 63 Southview Drive, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Alice’s memory to be made to the American Diabetes Association.
