Thomas J. Kleinschmidt

Thomas J. Kleinschmidt, age 77, of Naperville, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL and Elk Grove Village, IL, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024. Son of the late Hubert and Adeline Kleinschmidt, nee Wicka; Beloved husband of Peggy, nee Lydon, for 56 years; Loving father of Tracy (Bob) Osborne, Tom (Cassandra) Kleinschmidt, and David Kleinschmidt; cherished grandfather of Ryan, Maggie, Ailish, and Maeve; Fond brother of Ron (Jean) Kleinschmidt, the late Frank (Dorothy), the late Bob (Penny), and the late Don; Caring brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many.

Tom was a Dow Jones circulation driver for 30 years. He was a 50 year high school and college basketball official who officiated three Illinois High School Association State Tournaments, is a Hall of Fame member of 5 athletic organizations, and was a staple fishing at Busse Woods and the waters of the Mississippi, golfing local courses, and cheering on his beloved Cubs.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 10th, from 3pm to 8pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5015 Lincoln Ave, Lisle, IL. Another visitation will take place Friday, October 11th at 10am with funeral mass to follow at 11am located at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 1010 W. Webster, Chicago, IL. Interment private.
