Dan was born on July 9, 1980 in Lagrange, IL to George and Elizabeth (Hanrahan) Daly. He received his bachelor degree from Southern Illinois University.
Dan was loved by many and admired not only by his family and friends but by any stranger he met. Dan was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate heart. Dan was deeply loved by his family. He was the fun uncle. Most likely he showed up with a stash of sugary candy and engaged his nieces and nephews in some sort of loud, rambunctious game. Dan was adored by all of eight of them. As a child, Dan loved to tinker with things and this still rang true in adulthood. From various household items to cars, he knew the inner workings and could easily dismantle and repair them all. As a talented cook, Dan enjoyed preparing different foods in his kitchen. Above all, Dan could be described as a kind and selfless soul. He was always willing to help family and friends, never expecting a favor in return. He enjoyed being around people and seemed to meet friends wherever he went. To have known Dan, was to have loved him.
Dan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Edmund and Helen Hanrahan and paternal grandparents George and Helen Daly as well as two uncles. He is survived by his parents George and Betty Daly of Lisle, his brother Andrew (Stephanie) Daly of Mt. Prospect, sister Laurie (Dan) Polanski of Naperville, brother Keith (Liz) Daly of Oswego, along with 8 nieces and nephews. Clara, Will and Maeve Daly, Ben and Ella Polanski, Annabella and Kensley Daly, step niece Giavanna Mayotte and several cousins, aunts, uncles and many beloved friends.
