Kathy Lynn Jordan

Kathy was born July 17, 1958 to Charles and Charlotte (Krause) Jordan in Lewiston Maine. She attended Lisbon schools and graduated from Lisbon High School in 1976. She made her home and raised her daughter in Lisbon Falls, Maine. Kathy worked for a short time at Jay Brush in the paint room before finding her calling working for the state at Pineland Center for the developmentally disabled until it closed. She continued working for the state doing crisis work until she retired.

Family, friends and her animals were everything to Kathy. She loved to camp and spend time with family as much as possible. She had a huge heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.

Kathy was an avid Disney fan collecting everything Disney. Those that knew her, know she couldn’t pass up a Disney cup, ornament or even a pez dispenser.

Her biggest joy was her daughter. She raised her daughter as a single mom supplying not only the necessities, but teaching her how to take care of herself and knowing right from wrong. Kathy was very proud of how her daughter matured into a strong, independent woman.

Kathy is predeceased by both of her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Jordan and her partner Charles Cormiea; two brothers Charles Jordan, Jr and his wife Sharon and William Jordan and his wife Jennifer; a sister Karen (Jordan) Pelletier and her husband Jonathan. Along with 3 nephews, 4 nieces, 5 great nephews and 1 great niece. And many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Kathy will be laid to rest next to her parents in the West Bowdoin cemetery on October 9, 2021 at 11:00am.

A celebration of life will follow at the Amvets Hall on Royalsborough Road in Durham, ME. All of Kathy’s family and friends are invited to attend both events.
