Brian loved everyone and everyone who knew Brian loved him, he had a heart of gold. Brian loved spending time with his family and friends. He was charming, charismatic, intelligent, hardworking and always put others first before himself. He was adored by his 7 nieces and nephews who lovingly called him “Uncle B”.
Brian was an exceptional scholar athlete, in particular an accomplished pitcher who once pitched a perfect game. Brian also achieved All State Honors and received a baseball scholarship to Mt. St. Mary’s. He was an avid Yankee and Giants fan who loved watching both college and professional sports; he had encyclopedic knowledge of the games.
Brian graduated from Union HS, The Chubb Institute for Computer Programming, Lincoln Tech obtaining State HVAC certification and was a certified State of NJ Blue Seal Engineer. His latest position was Operating Engineer at Nokia in Murray Hill NJ.
Brian is survived by his parents Jim and Kathy Gilligan and his loving siblings James, and wife Christine (Perko), Brendan and wife Brooke (Murray) and Kelly Farrell (Gilligan) and husband Rory Farrell, 7 loving nieces and nephews, Ariana, Elise, Aubrey, Aidan, & Hayley Gilligan, and Cassidy and Caden Farrell.

A visitation for Brian will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. Friends and family are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 9:00. A funeral mass will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Genevieve's Church, 200 Monmouth Rd, Elizabeth, NJ 07208, Elizabeth, NJ 07208. A funeral will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067.
