The World became brighter the day that Aiden came into this world on March 4, 2004. Unfortunately, after
only 18 years with us, Aiden has passed away due to his long battle with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of
Cancer. Aiden spent his final moments surrounded by his loving family at his home in Carteret, New
Jersey.
Aiden is survived by his loving grandmother, Maribell Figueroa ( Lala ), with whom he resided. As well as
his Grandmothers Diane and Cristine, Siblings: Alexander, Andrew, Alberto, Angelina, Aalijah, Chloe and
Robert. Aunts and Uncle; Bridget, Jennifer, Wilson, and Courtney and his many cousins.
Aiden was a star athlete for the Carteret High School Ramblers Basketball Team and the Garden State
Heavyweights. He was also an outstanding honor roll student. He was also committed to attend college
at Rutgers University to fulfill his dream of being a career Social Worker.
During his time on this earth Aiden touched so many lives in his community and is known for uniting a
town in ways never seen before. Aiden was the life of the party, a dancer, comedian, artist, and a
shoulder to lean on for those close to him. Aiden was a force to be reckoned with and never wavered
when faced with adversity. During his illness he fought until his very last breath, a true warrior from his
first moments to his last.
Aiden left behind a letter with his last wishes asking those he loved to enjoy a celebration of his life in
lieu of a funeral to take place at the Carteret High School basketball Court which has been scheduled for
October 8th, 2022 at 1:00pm. The family asks that you come wearing Rambler colors, royal blue and
white as Aiden’s greatest joy was being a Carteret Rambler.
Aiden would like us all to celebrate his life by doing one ( or more ) of the following:
● Play a game of basketball
● Watch a Celtics or a Duke basketball game
● Laugh more
● Connect with family and loved ones
● Cherish and make the most of life. There’s a difference between being alive and living, so take
the time to have some fun and most of all enjoy your life.
Please join us in remembering Aiden by celebrating his life. We LOVE you Aiden and always will. Your
loving family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, October 8, 2022, 1:00 pm at Carteret High School.
