Sheralee worked various jobs in the Lincoln area before her marriage to Rolland Pickel on March 18, 1972.
After son Rory was born, she provided Daycare in their home for many years. She also enjoyed working with children in the church nursery for many years.
She loved her flowers, watching Nebraska Football, Volleyball, Basketball games and game shows.
She was an awesome caregiver for her parents and husband. Her heart was huge and she was so good to call and check on others, even when her health was declining.
Survived by her son Rory Pickel, daughters Nancy Handy (Ken) and Debbie Pickel-Way. Sons Robert Pickel (Lori) and Joe Pickel. 14 Grandchildren,16 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren. Sister Cindy Ruhge (Rod), Aunt Frances Bockelman, Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in Death by Husband Rolland, Parents Margaret and Ellis Bockelman. Infant Grandson Taylor McMillan. Son-in-law Jim Way. Infant sisters Karen Kay and Carol Jean, infant brothers William Allen and Steven Earl. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. 6800 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE. Funeral Service Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Interment following at Yankee Hill Cemetery in Lincoln, NE.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
