Morgan was born on March 21, 1941 to Luther Bevan and Cathrine Moore in Ashland, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Ashland High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served on active duty from 1960 to 1964.
After his honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1964, Morgan went on to study history for two years at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Morgan was married to Marjorie Barnes on June 10, 1972; they were married for 49 years and had one son, Morgan Bevan II.
Morgan worked as a Soil Surveyor for the Nebraska Department of Roads and retired in 2006 after 37 years in the field. He enjoyed travelling the country on family vacations, listening to music, classic cars, and spending time with family. Morgan was actively involved in the Scottish Rite, American Legion, and the Nebraska Saint David’s Welsh Society.
Morgan is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Bevan; his son, Morgan Bevan II.
A rosary will be held Monday, December 6, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at St. John's, 7601 Vine St, Lincoln, NE. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. John's. An interment will occur Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 6700 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE. Please park and meet in the upper parking lot at Gate 3 (Funeral Home) at 11:30am. We will walk up to the gravesite together from the parking lot.
