Mary Sue (Owens) James, 75, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation. Mary was born to Fredrick and Martha (Petry) Owens on December 30, 1947 in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she grew up and graduated in 1966.
She began her career as an operator for the Lincoln Telephone Company and continued up until she retired 39 years later.
She fell in love and married Ervin James on March 6, 1969.
Her hobbies included traveling the country, fishing, playing cards, and was an avid bowler.
Mary was preceded in death by Ervin, her parents Fredrick and Martha, and siblings JoAnn and Albert.
She will be missed and loved by several nieces and nephews.
Private burial at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery 6700 South 14th Street Lincoln, Nebraska.
