Johnny lived in Florida until he was 13 when he moved to Omaha, Nebraska to live with his sister. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948. After school he served in the US Navy Reserve for 13 years and owned Authorized Appliance Repair Company in Lincoln until 1982 when he sold to General Electric Company. He worked for G.E. until he retired in 1992. He was a loving husband and provided a stable family home for his family.
Johnny married Donna in 1949 and they had 2 sons. They enjoyed taking cruises and collected over 100 clown figurines before her passing in 2004. He loved doing volunteer work and spent an ample amount of time working with the Kiwanis and the Sertoma Clubs in Lincoln, NE. Later in life me married Garlyn and they enjoyed the retired life together until her passing in 2015.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents: Hardy Lashley and Cara Chason Robinson; first wife, Donna Robinson; second wife, Garlyn Robinson; son, Johnny Ray Robinson; grandson, Johnny Lee Robinson; sisters: Eunice Lashley and Ruth Ladman.
Survived by his son Ronald Robinson and his wife, Nancy; daughter-in-law, Diana Robinson; granddaughter, Holly Myrus; great-grandchildren: Seth Robinson, Hanna Robinson, Parker Myrus and Lucinda Myrus.
