Jeffrey Strufing, age 50, of Elkhorn, NE, passed away Sunday February 27, 2022 surrounded by his family. Jeff was born September 23, 1971, in Crete, NE, the son of Rod and Cindy Strufing. He married Erin Spiry on March 29, 2003. Jeff’s life was one of service. He was as a Paramedic for 20 years; loved most were his days as a Critical Care Paramedic and Flight Medic. Most recently he followed his passion to lift up others as the owner/operator of a group fitness gym. Jeff loved riding motorcycles with friends and family, he loved to travel, and he loved to cook. Jeff fought a grueling battle with cancer that most could not fathom. And he did it with the same zeal he put into helping others. His family and friends will miss him dearly, but we are so grateful his suffering is over. He is now basking in all the glory of heaven.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Erin Strufing; mother, Cindy Strufing; sons, Bryce (Jen) Harris, Jacob Strufing, and Noah Strufing; grandsons, Declan and Rowan; grandmother, Mary Fuller; many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Rod Strufing; grandparents, Dean and Bernadean Strufing, and Gerald Fuller.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln, NE 68512. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Service will be livestreamed. lincolnfh.com
Memorials may be given to the family for a donation to be made in Jeff’s memory that will be determined at a later date.
