Born to Jack C. Schrader and Dorothy M. Merrill in Lincoln, NE, on October 5th, 1946. He passed away on April 1st, 2021, at age 74.
He was the Head Mechanic for Orville Hoffman at Midwest Speedway, and as a mechanic for the Department of Roads for 35 years from June 14, 1965 to July 31, 2003, and at K2 as a mechanic.
He enjoyed working on friend’s, family’s, and customer’s cars. He bought and was the top sponsor for Austin Angel 7A Racing and loved working with his grandson on the race car. Jack was excited to spend quality time home with his family every Friday and going to Woodies for breakfast. In his free time, he enjoyed building and painting things. He attended Saint James Church as a child until the church’s closing. He dedicated time to repairs at Trinity Church where he was a long-time member.
Jack is preceded in death by grandparents Jessie James (Mae) Schrader, parents Jack C. Schrader and Dorothy Merrill, and great-grandson Camden Angel.
He is survived by daughter Tammy Schrader-Angel, son Travis Schrader, grandson Austin (Traci) Angel, granddaughter Harley Schrader, daughter-in-law Lynsey Schrader, girlfriend Sheila Moore, and cat Meow Meow.
