Ms. Ione M Johnson

Ione M. Johnson, 88, Lincoln, NE, died January 31 at her residence in The Arbors, 2023. Born Tecumseh (8/4/1934) to Jerry and Marie (Pfister) Dirksen. Graduate, Tecumseh High School, 1952. Married, Bob Viox, September 11, 1953. This union was blessed with three children. Married Wayne Johnson, September 7, 1988.

Ione started working at Elgin and then in 1989 started a cleaning business, Polished Performance, with her daughter. Ione lived a full life; she always lit up a room with her friendly smile and personality. She loved sewing, traveling, playing cards, dancing, and visiting family and friends.

Ione will be remembered by a loving family who survive her: daughters and son-in-law, Karen Kazda, Kim Converse, and Kelly and Tom Riley; grandchildren, Samantha and Travis Scheuler, Logan, Clay, and Evan Riley, Alex Converse; sisters and brother-in-law, Lois and Frank Armknecht, Irene Rorabaugh; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceded in death by parents; husband, Wayne; brothers and sisters-in law, Norman and Helen, Dean and Bev, Ken, Lloyd.

The family would like to thank The Arbors and HoriSun Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to our mother.
