Mrs. Harriet Elizabeth Sobon

  Harriet E. Sobon, 89, of Fairbury went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2014.  Born August 25, 1924 in Baltimore, MD to John and Elizabeth “Betty” Moffett.  She was a loving wife and mother, and to her friends and relatives was affectionately known as “Aunt Harriet.” She is survived by her daughter, Annette Ward (Lowell Goodson) and son, Greg (Carol) Sobon and brother-in-law Donald Majdanski; grandchildren, Theresa (Logan) Geisler and Lauren Sobon; great-grandchildren, Rylan and Cason Geisler; niece, Frances Gebhardt; nephew, John Moffett; an especially devoted nephew, Bob Lerch; and a large, extended family. Harriet is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; parents; brother and sister-in-law, John and Mary Moffett; and nephew-in-law Gary Gebhardt. Visitation will be Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 4-8 PM, with a Rosary Service at 6:30 PM, Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 So. 14th St, Lincoln, NE.  Memorial Mass will be Monday, May 19, 2014 at 10 AM, Blessed Sacrament, 1720 Lake Street, with Father Casey Porada officiating.
