Mr. Ernesto G Castillo

Ernesto (Ernie) Guzman Castillo November 20, 1925, Sebewaing, MI. – July 12, 2017, Lincoln, NE Ernie died peacefully early Wednesday morning with family at his side. He was born in Sebewaing, Michigan to Nestor & Cipriana Castillo. Ernie often talked about his early life experiences in Sebewaing and Mexico. At age 10, the family returned to Mexico where they farmed. At age 27, Ernie moved to Chicago, where two of his brothers lived, and began working at the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. He finished his 34 year career with Burlington Northern Railroad in Lincoln. Traveling by train from Chicago to Texas. He met Elia De Los Santos, fell in love, was married and they spent the next 55 years together. A loving husband,father and grandfather. He was a hard worker, friend and compadre to many. Survived by wife Elia, son Ernie (Mary Ann) Castillo, daughter Elsa (Dave) Hatch, son Julian (Roberta) Castillo all of Lincoln. Six grandchildren: Davey & Melissa Hatch, Miguel & Emily Castillo, Erica & Julian Castillo.
