So sad to hear about David's passing.  Such a great guy. Brenda and family so sorry for your lost. So many great memories with David and Brenda when my husband Mark and David worked together.

We are on our way to the funeral home right now and it doesn't seem possible.  This site asks one to enter a memory and I do not know how I would be able to pick just one...!?  The majority of my childhood memories on any given weekend, summer vacation, festival, or cattle drive include the Kubies.  Thanks for being great host and hostess in our wedding, an aunt and uncle/cousins to us growing up, and always a cheerleader for us girls.   It won't let me upload a picture to attach, but it isn't just one picture that would capture Dave anyway.  To capture Dave I would have to portray his great laugh, energy and hype after shootong a big buck, or excitement for someone reeling in a big fish.  I will hold those things in my heart forever.  ❤

From Kansas to Nebraska. Paul started  working at  Farmland in January 1981. The oil business fell out in Kansas in 1980. In May 1981 we moved into the big brick house in the country. Dorothy Kubicek and family were our first friends. Stephanie and Devin went to school with Diane and Doug. Dorothy and I would have hot tea and talk, go shopping and work in our gardens.
Dave and Duane were great neighbors. Whenever we needed a tractor to open the driveway they would just show up and do it. They were always so kind , helpful and fun to talk to. Those were fun times.
 Our heart is breaking for you Brenda, Kaleb, Landon and Family.  May God surround you all with His Loving, Comforting arms. Dave left a happy trail of loving treasured memories for everyone he ever met.

Just heard the news about Dave. I went to high school with him and he was always a great and fun guy. I hadn't seen him in about 30 years or more until a reunion a few years ago. He was the same smiling and gracious person I remembered. Hadn't changed a bit. I know he will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who met him. Gone too soon.

I have so many memories, where to start? Dave’s animated moves at the boys’ soccer games, deer jerky/meat sticks a plenty, almost lighting us on fire with lighter fluid while helping the fire along in the fire pit, great pitch partner, the big smile on his face while walking out of the garage after work. For these reasons and so many more, Dave will never be forgotten and will be sorely missed. What a great guy!❤️

I would try my best to get Kube anything he needed for the body shop, and he was always willing to take time to say "hello" even though he was always busy. Such a nice guy... He will be greatly missed! My condolences to the Kubicek family. 

I don’t know that I ever recall seeing Dave without a smile on his face! It was always great chatting with him if and when I had my car in at the bodyshop. He was always so full of life, and he will be missed greatly. But I know he’s up there smiling at us, and always will be.

I  worked with Kubi at Sid Dillon for over 20 years.  He was always smiling.  My memory to share is because I always sing Happy Birthday.  He was howling  while I sang Happy Birthday to a coworker.  He will be missed.  My heart goes out to the family.



All our sympathies from the North.  I loved Dave’s calm,  consistent, and supportive love for you and your boys .
